As climate risks accelerate, controversial climate intervention ideas are moving from speculation to serious consideration, often amid confusion, polarization, and deep disagreement. 

Through rigorous research, comparative historical analysis, and engagement across divides, the CI Futures initiative develops new intellectual foundations and practical pathways for informed, inclusive, and legitimate consideration of climate intervention. 

By leading with curiosity rather than advocacy or dismissal, we expand the terms of the debate and create space for a wider range of actors and perspectives to shape the agenda—broadening the coalition of participants who engage with these ideas seriously and respectfully, even if they remain skeptical.
