Lunar / Asteroid Dust Cloud Solar Shielding
This climate intervention technique works by launching, ejecting, or redirecting dust from the Moon or asteroids to create a transient dust cloud near the Sun–Earth L1 point or along related trajectories so that a small fraction of sunlight is scattered before reaching Earth, and it would be mediated by the following key Earth systems: Solar Radiation Interception and Radiative Forcing. A number of impacts and outcomes would be co-produced, including Scatter Sunlight, Transient Shielding / Replenishment Need, Radiative Cooling Without Composition Change, Astronomy / Satellite Interference, and Trajectory / Stability Sensitivity.

Orbital Reflector / Occulting Satellite Constellations
This climate intervention technique works by deploying mirrors, thin-film reflectors, lenses, or occulting disks in Earth's orbit to deflect, reflect, or block a small fraction of incoming sunlight before it reaches Earth, and it would be mediated by the following key Earth systems: Solar Radiation Interception and Radiative Forcing. A number of impacts and outcomes would be co-produced, including Reflect or Block Sunlight from Orbit, Uneven Coverage Geometry, Orbital Decay / Collision Risk, Reflected-Radiation Redistribution, and Astronomy / Space-Operations Interference.

Sunshades Solar Radiation Modification / Diffractive Refractive Spacecraft Swarms
This climate intervention technique works by placing a large swarm of lightweight reflective, diffractive, or refractive structures (e.g., spacecraft, thin films, or other solar-shielding elements) near the Sun–Earth Lagrange Point 1 (L1) to intercept, deflect, or partially block a small fraction of incoming solar radiation before it reaches Earth, and it would be mediated by the following key Earth systems: Solar Radiation Interception and Radiative Forcing. A number of impacts and outcomes would be co-produced, including Reduce Incoming Sunlight, Global Radiative Forcing Shift, Degradation / Fragmentation Risk, Station-Keeping / Drift Constraint, and Uniform Cooling Without CO₂ Removal.
