Nicole Itano
Nicole Itano serves on the Advisory Board of the African Tech Futures Lab. She is a communications, social change, and philanthropy leader with more than two decades of experience working on international and African policy issues. Nicole began her career as a journalist in South Africa, before holding senior roles in a range of international non-profits and leading the United Nations Secretary-General’s flagship initiative to counter COVID-19 misinformation, Verified.
Recently, her work has focused on the intersection of climate, development and reform of the international financial architecture, where she has built innovative coalitions and advised major global philanthropies. Nicole currently works at the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy and leads the Remaking Trade Project.
