ATFL’s AI Public Expert Lab cultivates a new generation of African and Global South experts positioned to shape how artificial intelligence is understood, deployed, and governed. The Lab supports researchers, practitioners, and thinkers working at the frontiers of AI and digital transformation, helping them translate deep technical expertise into clear, compelling, and decision-relevant public engagement. 

Through a collaborative cohort model, tailored guidance, and high-impact publishing and advisory opportunities, the Lab amplifies the influence of credible voices across Africa, the wider Global South, and global policy and media spaces.
